Changing of the Greens

Every Fall the Rutland Garden Club members gather a variety of winter greens and bundle them up one morning and then two days latter decorate the window boxes around the city. There is more work involved than that for several hardworking volunteers though. The boxes need to be emptyed of their summer flowers, greens need to be gathered from properties around the city, and brought to the location where we all meet one morning. Then the bundled greens are dropped off in every window box around the city! Great thanks are due to all who worked so hard, especially Jo Fretz who organizes it.
