Our first meeting since the summer break was full of success stories. All of our fund raisers this year were record breakers: Wreath, Plant and Bake Sales, the Strawberry Luncheon as well as donations and dues We awarded a scholarship to a graduating senior in the spring.
Another Wreath sale will be held late this fall and we'll be making wreaths with the Boys & Girls Clubs again this winter. For the first time in a while we're planning a Flower Show. This will be a Small Standard Flower Show with Horticulture, Designs and Educational Exhibits.
Our participation in Friday Night Live went well. Three members of our club were downtown at a table and ended up making 60 dish gardens with children. This year we hope to do Garden Therapy again in a Senior Center. Due to COVID this has had to be canceled for several years.
Thirty four members and six guests attended the meeting. After the business portion we had an excellent presentation by Linda Pare. She demonstrated several beautiful arrangements.
